Body of Albany man found in canal in Lebanon

LEBANON, Ore. - Police found the body of a man in a canal here Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators believe the body had been submerged for about a week, Lebanon Police said.
The man was identified as 51-year-old Robert Lawrence Hayes of Albany.
He is described as a white male, about 5-foot-8 with an average build. The man had short hair and a mustache. He had multiple tattoos on both arms, his back, and his chest, police said.

LEBANON, Ore. - Police are investigating a body found in a canal here near 2nd and A streets.
"It appears the body has been there for awhile," police said in a statement.
There's no indication yet on the age or gender of the deceased.
Police asked the public to avoid the area.
