Body found along river west of Oakridge

OAKRIDGE, Ore. - The sheriff's office is investigating a body found along the shore of the river off Highway 58, west of Oakridge.

The person's identity has not been released while deputies work to notify the person's family.

A community member reported finding the body near milepost 30 late Tuesday night.

The sheriff's office said there were no obvious signs of trauma.

The death is under investigation by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office and the Lane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
