BMX Gold Cup underway in Eugene
EUGENE, Ore. - The BMX Gold Cup will welcome thousands of visitors at the Emerald BMX Park next to Autzen Stadium.
Organizers say this park is one of the six location in the country holding competitions for the Regional Championship.
This is the second year that the USA BMX asked the park owners to host the Gold Cup.
"We put in a lot of hard work into this place, trying to make it what it is and have them come back - it's an awesome feeling," said Jason Germin, organizer of the BMX Gold Cup. "It shows that we are recognized now."
Races of all ages started on Friday, and the Gold Cup ends on Sunday around 7 p.m.
