Black Lives Matter protest held in downtown Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Black Lives Matter protest and march is currently taking place in downtown Springfield at the Police Station.

The Springfield Police Department is anticipating a large number of protesters to descend upon the downtown area tonight, starting around 5:45 pm. There is a planned protest to be held at 6:00 pm in front of the Springfield Library located at 5th St. and A St.
