Baby boy first born at RiverBend in 2019
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Jessica and Michael Gullo received a big surprise for New Year's Eve.
"This is the best present I got all year!" Jessica said. "We weren't expecting it for a couple weeks so it was a nice surprise and definitely a little bit of a shocker."
Jessica was relaxing at home when she realized it was time.
"He came home and I was just like, 'Well my water broke so we need to pack the bags and get ready to go.' Weren't quite ready yet," she said.
They packed their bags and headed to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, where Jessica gave birth to the hospital's first baby of the new year at 2:33 a.m.
Dean Rebel Gullo weighed just over 7 pounds.
"My dad's dad is Richard Dean and my mom's is just Dean," Jessica said. "I didn't really like the name of any other boys name so we just went ahead with that one."
