27-year-old male killed in single-vehicle crash on Highway 138
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — A 27-year-old male is dead after a single-vehicle crash took place on Highway 138E near milepost 16 in Douglas County on Friday night, at approximately 11:57 p.m.
Preliminary investigation reveals that a white 1992 Toyota Tacoma pickup, operated by Dakota Richard Miller, age 27 from Glide, was traveling westbound on Highway 138 when he failed to negotiate a turn.
The Toyota left the roadway and rolled several times, causing Miller to be thrown from the vehicle.
Once the Toyota came to a stop, resting on the shoulder portion of the highway, Miller succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident after lifesaving measures were performed by medical personnel.
