2016 KLCC Microbrew Festival
EUGENE, Ore.- Two nights only: 83 breweries, and more than 200 flavors of beers - all under one roof.
The 2016 KLCC Microbrew Festival kicks off on Friday, February 12, at 5 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. The brewfest will be back Saturday night from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Tickets are $15 at the door and come with a souvenir glass and two beer tickets.
Each beer ticket will get you 3 ounces of beer, but don't worry: the beer won't stop flowing after you use up your first two tickets. You can buy more for one dollar each. Designated Drivers can enjoy the event, sans alcohol, for $10 admission.
Live music starts at 7:30 p.m. on both nights. Friday's entertainment is My Brothers & I, and Saturday welcomes Goldfoot.
If you're heading to the festival without a Designated Driver, make a plan to get back home. LTD is offering a free day pass for each day of the festival: you can find the coupon for that here.
The 2016 Collaboration Brew pairs up 20 different local breweries and tap houses into 10 brewing "blind dates". The pairs are each given one random ingredient and have to create a beer using that ingredient.
The ingredients include lemongrass, peppercorn, ginger, juniper and maple syrup. You can buy an "Iron Brewer Tasting Card" for five dollars to get half samples of all ten brews.
