Ducks to start spring football drills; who will be QB?

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon Ducks begin 15 days of spring football drills this week.

And all eyes will be on potential quarterbacks.

Two freshman early enrollees will be competing for the spot: Darron Thomas and Chris Harper.

Nate Costa could be the starting Q-B next season, but he is rehabbing an injury.

And then there's Justin Roper, who threw for four touchdowns in the Sun Bowl win.

Coach Mike Bellotti says not to expect any final decisions until fall camp.
