DEA task force raids property SE of Veneta
An investigation by the multi-agency DEA Eugene Resident Office Task Force led Tuesday morning to the arrest of four people when task force members, assisted by Oregon State Police (OSP) SWAT team and OSP patrol troopers, served a search warrant at a west Eugene property.
The four people were wanted on various arrest warrants.
A total of seven people are facing possible criminal charges related to the investigation into unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine.
According to OSP Sergeant Erik Fisher, on March 1, 2011 agents and officers served a state search warrant at 26671 Pickens Road for evidence related to the unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine.
After securing the multi-acreage property, the subsequent investigation led to the arrest of four people at the location. Three others were not arrested but may face future criminal charges pending review by the Lane County District Attorney's Office.
The four people take into custody and lodged at the Lane County Jail on outstanding arrest warrants were:
- Wesley Byron Trout, 45, on outstanding felony warrants for Parole Violation and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine
- Timothy Michael Reed, 41, on an outstanding felony warrant for Parole Violation
- Sherry Lee Holte, 44, on an outstanding felony warrants for Probation Violation and Fail to Appear - Attempt to Elude, and a misdemeanor warrant for Contempt of Court
- Rachel Rene Lyager, 37, on an outstanding felony warrant for Probation Violation
The other adults, a 46-year old male and two females ages 25 and 42, were identified but not arrested.
Investigative information will be sent to the Lane County District Attorney's Office for consideration of future criminal charges related to the investigation.
This is an ongoing investigation so no more details will be released at this time.
The DEA Eugene Resident Office Task Force is comprised of personnel from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, OSP Drug Enforcement Section, Lane County Sheriff's Office, Eugene Police Department, Springfield Police Department and Lane County District Attorney's Office.
