Patient missing from Portland VA medical center
PORTLAND, Ore. —
A 74-year-old man is missing from the Portland VA Medical Center, according to the VA Portland Health Care System.
The VA says Gerald Beatty was last seen Monday, Oct. 23 at about 8:15 a.m. at the medical center. He was boarding the No. 8 TriMet bus.
The medical center is located at 3710 S.W. U.S. Veterans Hospital Road near OHSU.
Beatty “may be demonstrating confusion and lack appropriate decision-making capability,” the VA said. “He is NOT a threat to the public but should return to his care providers for his own safety and well-being as soon as possible.”
He was wearing blue jeans, a cream colored light jacket and white tennis shoes.
He has white hair and is clean shaven. He doesn’t wear eyeglasses.
He’s 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has a slender build.
Portland police is helping the VA.
