Gabby Urenda is a multimedia journalist for KPIC. She was born and raised in Salem and is excited to report about stories in her home state.
Gabby began her journalism career at the University of Oregon, where she graduated in June of 2017. In college, she was a reporter for DuckTV Sports covering Oregon Athletics, a reporter for Oregon News, and a video intern for the athletic department. Gabby was also a runner, production assistant, and stage manager for the Pac-12 Networks.
If that wasn’t enough, she was also the President of the Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM). So it’s safe to say you can catch her watching college football every Saturday morning.
Gabby is also fluent in Spanish and enjoys reporting on issues involving immigration. She believes there’s plenty of untold stories in Roseburg waiting to be discovered.
