SEATTLE - Seahawks' cornerback Richard Sherman is giving back to his fans.

Sherman posted to his social media accounts Thursday that he would be signing gear and stashing it throughout the Seattle area Friday - but only he knows where.

He plans to post clues on where to find the gear on his Twitter and Facebook pages. In his original post, he's seen holding a signed miniature Seahawks football helmet.

The post has garnered almost 10,000 likes on Facebook and just under 1,400 on Twitter, as of Friday afternoon.

It's unclear how many prizes Sherman plans to stash throughout the city.

Rumors of a possible trade involving Richard Sherman were put to rest last month by Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

The Seahawks season officially starts on September 10 in Green Bay, Wisc.

See his first clue in the tweet below. See the latest on Sherman's Twitter or Facebook pages.
