EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon defensive lineman Rex Manu will not play for the Ducks in 2017, The Oregonian's Andrew Greif reports and KVAL Sports has confirmed. A UO Spokesman told The Oregonian that Manu "is not competing in football this fall because of medical reasons." Manu suffered a season-ending injury in a 30-28 win at Utah on Nov. 19 of last year. He played 11 games during the 2016 season, finishing with 13 total tackles, 2.5 TFL, 1 sack and 1 QB hurry. This news also comes just one day after freshman defensive lineman Rutger Reitamaier told media outlets that he plans to transfer.
