LANE COUNTY, Ore. - The return of smoky conditions wreaked havoc on the high school football schedule, causing the OSAA and coaches alike to scramble on Friday, trying to figure out whether or not they should postpone, cancel or move their games scheduled for Friday night.

The Sheldon Irish postponed their highly-anticipated match-up vs. West Salem to Saturday night at 7 p.m., and South Eugene moved their game vs. North Medford to Saturday night in Medford.

The poor air quality forced Creswell to cancel their game vs. Elmira, and at last check it will be made up on a "to be announced" basis.

As the air quality has gotten slightly better throughout the day, the majority of games are still on as scheduled. For full stories on all of the action, tune into KVAL News at 11:15 p.m. for headlines, highlights, scores and more.
