HILLSBORO, Ore. - It has not been a great month for former Ducks football star Cliff Harris.
Harris finally appeared before a Washington County judge on Wednesday afternoon to face domestic harassment charges after police said he got in an altercation with his girlfriend.
Harris was originally supposed to appear in court on Tuesday, but missed that court date because he got pulled over for speeding while driving to the courthouse. That earned him a night in jail when the judge ordered a bench warrant for failing to appear.
He'll stay locked up after the judge on Wednesday said he was not eligible for bail. That's because he has been arrested three times in two months.
(For those of you keeping score, the first arrest was in New Jersey for marijuana possession, the second was the Friday domestic dispute outside a Hillsboro Buffalo Wild Wings, and the third arrest was for not showing up to his original court appearance on Tuesday.)
Harris pleaded not guilty to the domestic harassment charges.
On top of all his legal troubles, Harris was also cut by the New York Jets last week.
Harris had trouble while at the University of Oregon. He was a strong player, but was ultimately cut from the team because of a marijuana possession arrest.
