Bathroom attacks, sucker-punches, more during Seahawks game
SEATTLE -- The Seattle Seahawks were responsible for crushing the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, but they were also tangentially connected to at least three crimes that took place that evening, according to the Seattle Police Department.
A woman dropped her fiance off at CenturyLink Field for the game around 4:30 p.m. before heading to the gym. When she got home two hours later, she discovered muddy footprints on the floor of her Westlake Avenue North condo and a wet sweatshirt in the tub, according to the police report for the incident.
The woman called her fianc to make sure he wasn't responsible for the sweatshirt and footprints, and he told her to come get him from the game immediately. (When your fiance agrees to immediately leave the football game of the year, you know you've chosen well.)
According to the report, the couple discovered more than $10,000 worth of jewelry, including the woman's engagement ring, had been stolen from their condo.
The burglar appears to have got in by leaning a chair against the outside of the condo and climbing through a window, according to the report. A skateboard was found next to the chair.
A few hours later, a man was in the restroom at CenturyLink Field sometime near halftime of the game. He was standing at a urinal when his head was shoved from behind, according to the police report for the incident.
The man's head hit the wall in front of him, and he lost consciousness. When he came to, he walked back to his seat where his wife was waiting for him.
The man's wife later told officers her husband was not acting right, and she asked if he was OK. According to the report, the man's eyes rolled back in his head and he passed out again.
The man was taken to Swedish Hospital for treatment, and officers were unable to find any suspects.
Finally, whatever this is happened during the game.
