Trump supporters rally at Douglas County Courthouse in Roseburg
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Dozens of supporters weathered the rain Monday to rally in support of President Donald Trump at the Douglas County Courthouse in Roseburg.
Organized by a handful of citizens, rally attendees touched on the President's disconnect from the political status quo and his ability to act swiftly.
Waving American flags, the group praised a fresh change at the White House.
"I think Trump is a great choice,” said Trump supporter Janise Feeney of Canyonville. “I think he's going to turn the country around; hopefully. I think he's gotten unfair press as far as women are concerned, among other things, too. I think he needs the support of women because he's doing the best for women."
Ralliers called on one another to flood the White House with postcards of support, joining others from across the nation on March 15.
"The other side is putting out a lot of effort and a lot of money to actually knock down everything he's trying to do and prevent it,” said rally organizer Lloyd Kesterson. “We need to show our support for him so he knows we're out here behind him. We're going to be having a lot more of these rallies and it's going to be a long drag. We'll be seeing a lot of each other."
Another rally in support of President Trump will be held this Saturday.
