A Leesburg man accused in a crash that injured a mother and killed her 5-month-old baby pleaded "no contest" to reckless driving charges in court on Tuesday morning.

John Miller was initially charged with manslaughter. Those charges were dropped last month.

On August 31, 2016, Miller was turning onto Riverside Parkway from Coton Manor Drive in Lansdowne. His Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into Mindy Schulz as she was walking in the crosswalk with her son Tristan, who was in a stroller, killing Tristan and badly injuring Mindy.

Miller could face up to one year in jail and pay a $2,500 fine.

A sentence hearing was set for Friday and was expected to take two days.
