COBURG, Ore. - You're going to need to water more than usual and let the water penetrate to make sure plants and flowers are getting enough to drink.
It's so dry that Vern Johnson at Johnson Brothers recommends watering daily.
"Slow and low is my motto," Johnson said. "Sometimes we put too much water and the water bubbles out over the sides, doesn't penetrate the soil."
The unusally high temperatures are drying out flowers and plants faster than you may realize.
"If its a hanging basket that has a lot of material," Johnson said, "with this kind of heat, it's once a day."
