RV rally at casino: 'We eat and party a little bit'
NORTH BEND, Ore. - Every spot in the RV park is full at the Mill Casino as the Monaco International Motor Coach continues.
It's a celebration for the 30th anniversary of the motor coach-loving club.
"We have new coaches to view, we have vendors, we have seminars, we have training events," said Jack Brewster, the rally master, "and of course we eat and party a little bit."
"It's great!" club president David Piper said. "It's always great, you know, and this has been a real good venue for us."
Rallies like these are the only chance club members have to meet in person.
"It keeps us coming because we're all a big family," he said.
While this is the first rally to be held in the Bay Area, organizers said it brings an economic boost along with it.
"We don't know what it is," said club treasurer Jerry Jenkins, "but our conservative estimate is, for this rally, we're probably spending a quarter million dollars in the area."
The continues through August 8.
