LORANE, Ore. - The largest free mountain bike festival in the region celebrates 10 years this Sunday.
The Disciples of Dirt hosts the 10th annual All Comer's Meet at the Whypass trail network near Lorane, come rain, sun, sleet or snow.
Last year, 226 riders from Oregon, Washington and California took part.
The festival features social rides, vendor booths and a fundraising raffle.
Riders break into guided groups at 9:45 a.m. according to pace/skill level and spend a few hours cruising the trails before gathering back at the bonfire to eat, drink and socialize.
The Disciples of Dirt maintains hundreds of miles of multi-use trails in the Umpqua, Willamette and McKenzie ranger districts, as well as trails on Army Corps, BLM and City land. The club holds a fundraiser each year for Doernbecher Children's Hospital and host a toy drive each Christmas for the children at Jasper Mountain.
