IDLEYLD PARK, Ore. -- Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Troopers seized an 8-by-6 bull elk on private timber property September 8.

State police say 27-year-old Cody Miller of Idleyld Park shot the bull with a bow on September 4 on Roseburg Forest Products property, which was closed to the public due to fire dangers.

Miller was assisted by 27-year-old Dylan Miller of Idleyld Park, 25-year-old Brian Philpott of Glide, and two juvenile males, police said.

The trophy bull was seized and Cody Miller was issued criminal citations and released for hunting on another enclosed land, unlawful take of bull elk and counseling in a wildlife violation.

Dylan Miller and Philpott were issued criminal citations for criminal trespass and aiding in a wildlife offense, police said.
