Free lunches offered over summer break in Roseburg

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Roseburg Public Schools will be offering free meals to students over summer break at various locations.

Meals will be served at “Lunchbox Express” sites from June 18 to Aug. 17 (except July 4) at the following times and locations:

  • 11 to 11:20 a.m. at Saddle Butte
  • 11:35 to 11:55 a.m. at Eastwood Park
  • 12:10 to 12:30 p.m. at Rose Elementary
  • 12:40 to 1:40 p.m. at Stewart Park

Additionally, lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, June 18 to Aug. 17, at the Sunnyslope Elementary School cafeteria.

Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, July 9 to Aug. 16, at the Roseburg High School cafeteria.

And breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8 a.m. and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, July 9 to Aug. 2, at the Fir Grove Elementary School cafeteria.

Meals will meet or exceed USDA requirements and will be available to all children and teens 18 or younger. Meals must be eaten on site.

The summer food program is a part of USDA Food and Nutrition Service and is administered by the Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs.
