World War II aircraft in North Bend, Corvallis and Aurora this week

NORTH BEND, Ore. - Four vintage World War II-era aircraft are on display through Wednesday morning at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport before moving on to Corvallis and Aurora later this week as part of the Wings of Freedom tour.

The four aircraft - a B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, B-25 Mitchell and TF-51D fighter - are fully restored and working aircraft, according to the Collings Foundation.

Walk-through tours and flights are available for fee.

The planes leave North Bend on Wednesday for Corvallis, where they'll remain Thursday and Friday before heading to the Aurora State Airport north of Woodburn for the weekend. | Learn more about tours and flights
