Woman found dead in river vanished 2 weeks ago
ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The body found last week by a fisherman in the South Umpqua River has been identified.
Authorities say that on Friday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Roseburg Police Department recovered the body of an unidentified adult female from the river near the fairgrounds.
Authorities say deputies canvassed a nearby homeless camp and determined that Diana Dallagiacomo, 44, had been missing for about two weeks.
Her disappearance had not been reported to police.
Dallagiacomo is a transient who recently moved to the Roseburg area from the Ashland area, according to investigators.
On Monday, an autopsy was performed at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office.
Officials say initial findings show no indications of foul play.
Next of kin was notified in Chico, California.
