Wildlife Safari welcomes new baby boy

WINSTON, Ore. -- A new arrival to Winston's Wildlife Safari has already won the hearts of staff at the animal park.

The 174th cheetah cub has been born at the safari, but keepers say it wasn't an easy entry.

On May 3, staff with the park say they noticed that first-time cheetah mother Moyo stopped eating.

That led officials to monitor the cheetah until she gave birth to the new baby.

Staff say that they became concerned after mom ingnored the new baby.

Workers rushed the baby boy into the park's animal hospital and started caring for it.

Park officials say that since the cub will be hand raised, it will become an ambassador for another facility.
