EUGENE, Ore. -- A former Willamette High School athletic trainer was found guilty Thursday of sexually abusing an underage student, the Lane County assistant DA Erik Hasselman said.
Timothy Schley initially pleaded not guilty to 3 counts of second degree sex abuse after he was accused of illegal sexual contact with a student at Willamette High School in February.
On Thursday, a jury found Schley guilty of all three counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse.
Schley was taken back to jail a short time after he made bail because the Lane County District Attorney's Office said he "did not comply" with the conditions of release.
An affidavit from the Lane County Circuit Court said that Schley is believed to have contacted the victim in the case, a violation of his security release agreement.
Judge Debra Vogt is scheduled to deliver Schley's sentence on Wednesday, July 2. Hasselman said Judge Vogt will determine what his actual punishment will be, as there are no mandatory sentences.
