Victim fund reaches $266,600 one month after mall shooting
PORTLAND, Ore. - The Clackamas Town Center Victims' Fund has received $266,600 in donations one month after the deadly shooting, including a single anonymous donation of $250,000.
The Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation is managing the fund, which was created on Dec. 12. 100 percent of donations go to the three families physically impacted by the shooting.
The donations ranged from $4 to $250,000. A total of 146 donations have been received, according to CCPOBF President Mark Koberstein.
The donor who gave $250,000 wanted to remain anonymous, and requested that each family receive $80,000. They also requested the remaining $10,000 go to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and be used for continued training with the retail community, Koberstein said.
The foundation continues to accept donations, which can be made at any Clackamas Federal Credit Union branch.
Donations can also be made by mailing a check to:
PO Box 426
Oregon City, OR
Donors are asked to write "CTC victim fund" in the memo line.
