EUGENE, Ore. - With less than two months to go until the Eugene Marathon, coordinators say they've made some big changes to accomodate runners and their fans.
Tate Kelley said the Eugene Marathon will open 200 rooms in the Univerisity of Oregon's Barnhardt Hall to help provide lodging for the event.
Kelley said coordinators hope this will alleviate the pressure to find a place to stay during the event.
"It gives people coming from out of town another option for lodging," Kelley said. "The hotel rooms fill quite fast, especially hotel rooms right around the university."
Kelley saod there is a two-night minimum and several different options for single and double occupant rooms.
