      Two firefighters hurt during three-alarm blaze in Oregon City

      OREGON CITY, Ore. - Two firefighters were hurt fighting a three-alarm fire in Oregon City on Wednesday morning.

      The fire happened in a commercial building at 1015 Molalla Ave. at around 5 a.m. The street was closed between Holmes Lane and Warner St.

      About 40 minutes into fighting the fire, two firefighters were caught in a back draft and thrown 10-15 feet, a Clackamas Fire spokesman said. One suffered minor burns and was sent to the hspoital.

      In a separate incident, another firefighter rolled his ankle and was treated at the scene.

      By 6:15 a.m., crews said they were de-escalating their efforts and the fire was finally proclaimed under control at 6:44 a.m.

      Investigators said Wednesday afternoon that they were still working to determine what caused the fire.
