The Gem Faire makes a stop at the Lane County Fairgrounds

EUGENE, Ore. -- If you're into rocks, gems, jewelry or shiny things in general, the Gem Faire will have you covered during its stop at the Lane County fairgrounds this Saturday and Sunday.

Show manager James Bliss said the Gem Faire is the largest of its kind on the west coast.

"I call it the international market place, because you see people from all over the world, things from all over the world," Bliss said. "I've been here 10 years and I never get bored. I'm here full time on the floor and I'm always seeing new things."

Eugene was one of the first locations to host the touring show when it started 25 years ago.

Admission to the Gem Faire is $7, children under 12 years are free.
