EUGENE, Ore. -- Students at the Corridor Elementary School in Eugene are taking the wheel in funding their own education by volunteering at the school's 5th annual car show.
The Corridor Car Show is the alternative school's largest fundraiser or the year.
Each class hosts a booth at the show, adding to the dozens of cars filling the grass field next to the elementary.
"This has become a community event. A lot of families from North Eugene area come. Most of the school seems to be here right now," said Carrie Copland, presidentof the school's Parent/Teacher Organization Board. "The volunteers are largely school families and we have some great University of Oregon students here today, helping out too."
The car show lasts through Saturday and admission is free to the public.
