EUGENE, Ore. - A man suffered a gunshot wound overnight in a chain of events police are still trying to sort out.
Eugene Police responded to reports of gunshots at or near a 7th Avenue motel just after midnight Thursday morning.
Officers found a man with a gunshot wound and took care of him until medics arrived. The man was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, where he was stabilized and treated.
Two people involved the the shooting incident were taken to police headquaters for interviews.
Detectives and Crime Analysts from the Forensic Evidence Unit responded to assist patrol officers with witness interviews and to investigate the shooting scene. Detectives were still sorting out the details of the incident Thursday morning.
