Sheriff: Man charged with firing shotgun at wife

NOTI, Ore. -- A Noti man was arrested after deputies received a call saying he fired a shotgun at his wife Saturday afternoon at their home off of Highway 126.

According to the Lane County Sheriff's Office, police dispatchers received a 911 call at 4:45 pm from someone claiming that 60-year-old Timothy Haynes had fired a shotgun at his wife Linda.

Deputies arrived at their house along Highway 126 east of Noti and asked Haynes to leave his home.

Deputies said he complied and was taken into custody. No one was hit by gunfire and no injuries were reported, officials said

Witnesses in the area told our news staff there were multiple agencies helping the sheriff's office make the arrest.

Haynes was booked at the Lane County Jail on multiple charges including first-degree attempted assault, menacing, reckless endangering and felon in possession of a firearm.
