BANDON, Ore. -- A former Bandon school teacher was arrested on Tuesday on sex abuse charges, the Sheriff's office said.
Chuck McLauchlin is charged by authorities with 25 counts of second degree sex abuse, as police continue to investigate his alleged involvement with a 16-year-old girl.
The Bandon School District Superintendent says McLauchlin has not been a district employee since February of this year, and has not been in the classroom since June of 2012.
A probable cause affidavit says police searched his home Tuesday and seized computers and cell phones used to communicate with the victim.
Sgt. Pat Downing with the Sheriff's office say there could be more victims. "There could be a possibility that there are other victims out there, and so, we certainly want anybody with any information about this case or Mr. McLauchlin to come forward and contact our office or Bandon police."
McLauchlin is still in custody and will be in court Thursday morning.
