CHARLESTON, Ore. - A driver with a blood alcohol level triple the legal limit was arrested a second time for DUII about an hour after he was released from custody, the Coos County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies contacted Patrick Neil Watt, 47, of Dewey, Ariz., shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday in the beach access area below Bastendorf County Park.
Deputies arrested Watt on suspicion of DUII and took him to the North Bend Police Department, where he provided a breath sample with a blood alcohol content of .26, triple the legal limit of .08.
Deputies cited and released Watt on charges of DUII, Careless Driving and Reckless Endangering. The last charge was related to a woman riding in the truck with him at the time of his arrest, the sheriff's office said.
About an hour after Watt was released from custody, he was again seen operating a motor vehicle on a paved public roadway, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies stopped Watt's vehicle at the entrance to the Bastendorff Beach campground.
Deputies arrested him a second time on a charge of DUII and transported him to Coos County Jail, where he registered a blood alchol content of .23.
He was booked into the Coos County Jail on $10,000 bail.
