Rash of 4 armed robberies in Eugene since Friday under investigation

EUGENE, Ore. - Police investigating a rash of armed robberies in Eugene said it is too early to say whether the crimes are connected.

A man robbed Lil’s Deli on River Road at gunpoint Friday morning at 7:26. Police said the suspect - a white male, about 5-foot-9 to 6-foot with a slim build, had a BB gun that looked like a handgun. The man was dressed in all black - save for the orange soles of his shoes - with a black beanie covering all of his face except for his eyes, police said.

Late Friday just before midnight, a white male in his 20s used a gun to rob the Neighborhood Market at 24th and Hilyard streets.

Early Saturday morning, a man with a gun robbed a 21-year-old woman as she walked along Hilyard Street near E. 16th. Avenue. The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s, about 6-feet tall.

Then on Saturday night, two suspects - a white man in his 20s, and a black man - robbed the Subway restaurant near 18th and Chambers at gunpoint.
