EUGENE, Ore. - The evolution of quilting is on display at the Lane County Historical Museum as more than 120 different quilts hang on the museum walls.

Since Tuesday, the multitude of different quilts have brightened the museum.

The $7 admission fee for the show goes back to the museum as part of a fundraiser.

Organizers said more than 500 people came to the exhibit to learn and appreciate the craft.

"Well I think it's an appreciation for the art," Lane County Historical Museum executive director Bob Hart said. "It's an art form of course. It's very traditional. It goes back to European settlement of the continent."

There's still one more day to appreciate the quilts hanging on museum walls, the museum is open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the last day of the show.
