Police: Suspect crashed stolen car, stole bike with flat tires, hid in shed

      MEDFORD, Ore. - Twenty minutes before a trooper tried to stop the 1991 Honda Accord, Anthony Jonathon Allen Byam stole it, according to state police.

      Here's what police said happened next:

      Rather than stop, Byam sped through the streets of Medford at high speed.

      Byam lost control and crashed the car into a street sign and curb in front of a gas station.

      Then the 21-year-old Enumclaw, Washington, man ran across the parking lot and grabbed a mountain bike park against the gas station fence.

      The bike had two flat tires.

      The state trooper caught up to him and shocked him with a Taser, to no effect.

      Byam ditched the bike, ran off and holed up in a shed in a Medford.

      That's where Medford Police found Byam 25 minutes after he first fled police.

      Police booked Byaminto the Jackson County, Oregon, jail on charges of:

      * Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
      * Felony Attempt to Elude in a Vehicle
      * Misdemeanor Attempt to Elude on Foot
      * Reckless Driving
      * Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree
      * Resisting Arrest
      * Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
