Police: Salem man found dead, stabbed by brother

SALEM, Ore. - A man was found dead Thursday after police say he was stabbed by his brother.

Salem Police were called out to a northeast Salem home just before 4 p.m. Thursday to follow up what officials called "suspicious circumstances."

Officers arrived to find 58-year-old Larry Bush deceased at the home with what appeared to be stab wounds, officials said.

Bush's 50-year-old brother, Jon Bush, was detained a short time later.

Investigators said that Jon had stabbed Larry during a fight. Officials haven't released any information on what caused the altercation.

Jon Bush was booked at the Marion County Correctional Facility on murder charges.

The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine Larry Bush's exact cause of death, Salem Police officials said.
