Police name woman killed in crash

NORTH OF COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- Oregon State Police said a crash Saturday morning killed Linda Scott, 66, of Cottage Grove.

Oregon State Police said crews responded around 5:45 a.m. Saturday morning and found a car that had rolled over off the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near milepost 181, about five miles north of Cottage Grove. Troopers said they don't know why the car drove off the right shoulder and flipped in a water-filled ditch.

Emergency officials pronounced Scott dead at the scene.

Scott's son and a former coworker told KVAL News she worked at the Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Scott's son said she was a loving mother of three and grandmother.
