Police: Myrtle Creek man charged with rape, kidnapping woman
MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- A Myrtle Creek man was arrested Thursday, charged by police with the rape and kidnapping of a 38-year-old woman.
Officers from the Myrtle Creek Police Department began an investigation into the reported incident that they say happened in the 1100 block of NE Simpson Lane.
A 38-year-old woman had reported that Jason Daniel Brown, 45, of Myrtle Creek, had forcibly raped her and held her against her will inside his residence.
Police say the female was known to Brown.
Authorities arrested Brown and charged him with first degree rape and first degree kidnapping.
Brown was lodged in the Douglas County Jail.
