Police: Man charged DUII after nearly hitting a group of bicyclists

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. - Oregon State Police troopers charged a Lake Oswego man with DUII after he almost hit a group of bicyclists on Highway 30 east of Scappoose, they said.

The cyclists were participating in the STP (Seattle to Portland) fundraiser.

Troopers responded to a call just before 8 p.m. near Watson Rd. on Highway 30. The group said a man in a Ford truck nearly hit them before stopping along the highway.

They found Lake Oswego's David Easton, 53, and charged him with DUII and reckless endangerment.
