Police: Knife-wielding stranger sexually assaults teen at Vancouver home
VANCOUVER, Wash. —
Vancouver Police say a man is wanted for breaking into a home last weekend and sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
Police say the incident was reported around 9 p.m. Saturday near 11th Street and NE 147th Avenue. The suspect entered the home when the teen's parents were gone, threatened her with a knife and sexually assaulted her.
The victim's parents say the intruder got in through an unlocked side door.
He's described as a man in his 20s or 30s, standing about 5'8" and wearing dark clothing.
Police rushed to the scene.
Neighbors told KATU News the K-9 unit was out trying to track down the suspect.
"And then (police) came back afterwards, wanted to know if we had video surveillance or anything -- might be able to add to the picture," neighbor William Reeburgh said.
