Police: Fugitive found at home with illegal marijuana grow

SUTHERLIN, Ore. - Police found a fugitive who skipped out on parole 2 years ago, along with an illegal indoor marijuana grow operations, the Sutherlin Police Department said.

Max Quzene Claunch, 52, was wanted on outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants and on a parole violation, police said.

A court approved a search warrant Thursday for Claunch's Kruse Street home specifically to search for him based on "reliable information" he would be there, police said.

Officers entered the home around 9 a.m. and found Claunch. They took him into custody without incident.

While securing the home, police located an illegal indoor marijuana grow operation inside the garage.

Police jailed Claunch on a probation violation and 17 misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief.

Additional charges against Claunch are pending, police said.

His new booking mugshot shows Claunch with his head cocked back. The jail has several other mugshots of Claunch on record, however, from 2008 through 2011.
