Police: Driver, 75, dies in high-speed convertible crash
PRINEVILLE, Ore. - A 75-year-old man died when he lost control of a convertible Porsche 911 as he passed a car driven by his son on Highway 26 west of Prineville on Sunday evening.
First responders found John Gordon Lamey dead at the scene in the wreckage of the 2002 Porsche. He was wearing his seatbelt, state police said.
Investigators said the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. Lamey was eastbound following his son in another vehicle.
