Demonstrators cancel plans for impeachment march in Portland
Demonstrators are gathering across the United States on Sunday, calling for the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
Those involved with the march allege that the president is in direct violation of the Constitution and demand an investigation.
Several major cities across the nation are taking place, including Seattle, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Denver.
Portland was initially included in the list of cities to take part in the march, however a Facebook page for the event was deleted before it could take place. Marchers were expected to meet at 1 p.m. in Tom McCall Waterfront Park, near the Waterfront Blues Festival.
No word on why the event was taken down, or whether it will still be taking place.
Seattle’s march started around 11 a.m., and somewhere between 100 and 150 people participated.
