One dies in Creswell house fire, 3 other family members escape
CRESWELL, Ore. -- Fire officials say a woman died Friday night after being trapped inside a burning house in Creswell.
Lane County Sgt. Gill said they believe the woman was 26-year-old Jennifer Wilson, although officials are still waiting on confirmation from the State Medical Examiner.
Three of the woman's family members made it out safely, officials at the scene said. They were cleared as 'in good condition after an evaluation at Cottage Grove Community Hospital.
South Lane Fire was called out to the house fire on Sears Rd. in Creswell at around 7:40 p.m. Friday.
Fire crews arrived to find much of the home engulfed in flames.
Two adults and an infant escaped the fast-moving fire, officials said. The adults reported that a fourth family member was still trapped inside.
After two hours crews managed to get the fire under control. Crews found the remains of a body inside the house once crews extinguished the flames, South Lane Fire officials said.
Fire officials confirmed the cause of the fire was electrical.
Fire Investigators have determined that the cause of the fatal fire last night in Creswell as being electrical in nature.

South Lane responded with seven Fire /EMS apparatus and twenty personnel. South Lane County Fire and Rescue was assisted by the Goshen Fire District, Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office, and the Lane County Sheriff's Office.
