EUGENE, Ore. -- The sounds of classical music swirled through six Eugene gardens on Sunday as the Eugene Symphony Guild's "Music In The Garden" event returned for its 17th year.
Attendees took the self-guided stroll through six locations to enjoy pieces from local artists, refreshments and live performances.
One of the featured gardens was at Willagillespie Elementary, where organizers held a preview of the event Saturday night.
"It was a long, hard winter," said Mary Anne Hanson, one of the Eugene residents hosting a garden performance. "We started this final phase project in September, so it actually was finished two days ago."
