Masked men rob convenience stores on Labor Day

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Masked man with weapons robbed convenience store clerks working on Labor Day, police said.

Two men robbed the 35th Street Market at 1279 35th Street just before 10 a.m. Monday.

One of the men flashed a gun and demanded money.

Before they got the cash, however, the men ran way, police said.

Police shared these suspect descriptions:

  • White male in his mid-20s, 5-foot-7, thin build, wearing all black and a bandana over her face.
  • White male in his mid-20s, 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10, thin build, in a black or green sweatshirt.

Just before 11 p.m., a second armed robbery took place at the Dari-Mart on Harlow Road.

A masked man with a knife demanded cash from the clerk before fleeing the scene. Police responded but were unable to locate the suspect.

Police shared this suspect description:

  • Black male in his late 20s or early 30s, 6-feet tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and bandana over his face.
